Spark your creative imagination with our felting wool bundles. Each British Breeds  bundle contains 5 natural shades of British wool roving (approximately 100g in total) and this is a special offer for one of each bundle.

  • Our wool bundles are the perfect partner to add colour to your felting projects and some woolly texture to your weaving.
  • You will receive 15 colours in total in a wonderful hand-picked mix including Jacob, Shetland, Hardwick, Blue Faced Leicester and Swaledale. See below for the full lists.
  • Ideal if you've done a bit of needle felting or weaving but are now looking to create your own projects and flex your creative skills!
  • Each bundle comes in a clear box so you can easily find the colour you need, and the box is made from a minimum of 60% waste material and is 100% recyclable.

Shipping/Delivery

All orders are carefully picked and packed by our small team in Dorset, England and shipped in 1-3 working days via the Royal Mail. 

UK orders normally take 2-5 working days to arrive after shipping, and international from 3 days up to 4 weeks depending on your location.

Felting Newbie

I had a go at felting and it was that bit of relaxation I needed. Looked at a lot of sites but the bundle on offer from Hawthorn Handmade appealed with the wool, source, colours on offer and value for money. Nearly finished a handcrafted heart which looks great with the red wool from the Christmas colours box. Next going to try freehand reindeer head to make extra gift tags

A new customers experience

I’m an absolute beginner with fibre craft. At first, I thought I would only be interested in needle felting. I had no materials or equipment so I started buying partly from YouTube recommendations and partly from searching a quality supplier by myself. I do like Hawthorn Handmde’s approach to business, Their marketing is inspiring, friendly and professional while offering a wide range of quality information on many more aspects of fibre craft than I expected. The advice and information on the website in itself was a valuable learning source. I concluded that Hawthorn Handmade are a trustworthy and knowledgeable supplier and bought the British Breeds Wool Bundle. They arrived quickly in perfect condition. Not knowing what to expect, I was delighted by the high quality of the wools and indeed the quality packaging and the quick service.. I haven’t used any of the wools yet, I’m still researching ‘how to needle felt and different wool type characteristics. I really don’t want to waste my quality new British Breed Wools. As they were some of my first purchases in my new fibre art adventure, I want these high quality wools to be used as skilfully as I can, and not waste them on practice pieces. I’m really pleased with their high quality and a purchase from a reputable supplier I will cherish a positive memory of acquiring this wool bundle forever. They are not just fine wool, they are a valuable learning source and experience.

a felting beginners review

i bought 3 bundles of all different colours and as i had never felted before didnt know what to expect but i was pleased with this wool and have been busy to put it to good use haha it's great fun and the outcome is lots of laughter from me and my husband coming up with some fun things during lock down the wool is very good quality and easy to use and would recommend it to anyone .

Wonderful bundle!

Spent the evening petting all the different sheep. Really interesting to feel the different textures. Can’t wait to use them in my weaving!
